North west China trip has begin …

I have been wanting to discover this part of China long time ago and this time I decided to take a over night train from Chengdu to Gansu

The local train takes 11-15 hours from Chengdu to Lanzhou

Lanzhou is a very small city but my main purpose to be in Lanzhou is to visit the museum and then head to Gannan Labrang monastery.

Such a petite city to get around

Wait for long time for a bowl of authentic Lanzhou beef noodle soup but no beef inside need to order on the side

Gansu museum it’s a must visit ! ticket pre book online and free of charge ! You can spend at least 3 -4 hours there. But try to avoid the peak season the ticket is limited.

A lot of things to see and not going to show you all here.

Highland barley only grow in this part of China, they fermented the barley and put into milk tea it’s actually very nice.

Tomorrow going to get up early head to Labrang monastery ….. high attitude and the most famous monastery in Gansu.
